I am trying to get motivated to write stuff on this, but it is hard to want to write when I don't even care what I have to say.... snap. Wish I won the top amatuer rider classification at Nature Valley Grand Prix... I don't think I ever will though.... I like going around endlessly in circles much better, and jumping over obstacles, also I was told this weekend that my break mate could not "pass me on the downhills, but was happy to pull on the uphills"... ummm, I guess I could loose a few pounds? or stick to going round and round in circles and keep eating hohos....

I have been thinking alot about what it takes people to get what they really want out of life - work, dedication, discipline, the ability to struggle while seeing an ultimate goal somewhere down the line. I have, after reading a couple of inspiring blogs (god I am such a lurker)and really really thinking about it for reals decided to 100% commit to going back to school, cutting my work hours, making less money, and riding my bike more. You only get one go around...

I was just informed that I am not a pro - On another note I am looking at sponsor's for this upcoming fall cross season - I was thinking about a milk sponsor - like horizon, which is delicious, then I read about how they are big jerks to thier cows. then I thought, what about organic valley. I now swear by chocolate milk after races. If you have not tried it I highly recommend it. also if anyone knows of sponsors who love throwing their money away on a mediocre racer such as myself, let me know......

I think I managed to gain at least 2 pounds in the past five days... not bad right? If you to would like to gain weight the fast and easy way follow my diet:

a.m.: yogurt and fresh fruit (don't worry this is as healthy as it gets and will make you feel better for eating all the crap you ate the night before.

mid morning: three to ten peices of candy and a tangerine or two (again making you feel somewhat healthy)

Lunch: various cheeses with crackers

Mid afternoon snack: more candy and possibly any cookies not scavenged previously

Dinner: grilled cheese with soup (cream of mushroom if your up to it)

Mid night snack: booze (vary it with whiskey and beer in the mix,maybe a glass of wine too) more cheese and two pieces of carrot cake at least, maybe a couple more coookies....

Viola...there is your window to weight gain.... coach would be so proud.....

I did it... it was not very good,,, but I felt a phony eating so much cheese from a variety of sources and not caring and still refusing to eat meat (if I buy dairy its always organic/ hormone free. "cruelty free" but when eating out you don;t know where the fuck that cheese came from you know?). Dairy cows are sad too... I am trying to make informed decisions to not eat meat out. I am looking to buy strickly local, organic, grass fed cows to prepare and eat at home. I feel weird about it still, but I won't front if someone asks me... it really makes sense for the dietary needs I have now.... weird.... i hope i am not loosing my morals...

this weekend made me love cross even more....Why is it that cross racers are exponentially nicer than road racers? I mean you can talk to anyone and no one is really muggin you at all. I mean there are haters for sure but they are fewer and farther between. and everyone knows who they are....

I forget how deliciously bad the holidays can be. Yesterday at work we had our Thanksgiving potluck. It was delicious and horrible at the same time. SO many desserts and bread and tatoes and many other things which I ate until I was stuffed. There are leftovers all over the office today. I am going to have to go to the kitchen and get a cookie in a little while. Then next week will be five days of thanksgiving. I will be a fatty by the time nationals come around....

Fred WIttwer is the 55+ National CX Champion 2 years running and one of the nicest most helpful guys you will ever meet. After thouroughly rocking his competition on Saturday and SUnday (including passing almost all of the 45+ guys who started a minute ahead of him!!) Fred ran around in the pit for me during the elite women's race. Even though I was sucking hard he was still encouraging me the whole time. I think if he wasn't there I would have come in a lot farther back... here's to good people......

1st place two days in a row.....really wish there would have been more women there but Ironcross was this weekend too so what can you do? Looking forward to heading up tp Deleware to race this weekend....Met a really really nice junior named Dag (tight name too!).... so cool. Watch out for him because I am sure he will be on a podium at nationals in the near future. Came up to me after the race, introduced himself and talked to me for 10 minutes about racing and how we should come up to New Jersey and race. If you ever here his name at a race you should cheer for him.... Apparently his grandfather races cross as well. I wish I could force my dogs to race cross... I think they would make a clean sweep in the Junior 10-14 class.

I hated that right there posted were my top nemisis (people who crushed me) and my top victims. It really sucks to know that you are someones top victim.... bummer.... I guess it's not so bad considering this is my first real year of cross but seriously. THanks to whoever does the website because now I want to crush all of my top nemisis and then be someone even better's top victim.... what? Sciatica HERE TO STAY?!?

Sciatica is apparently my new best friend. I feel like a very old person because sitting on anything hurts so bad. Last night I laid in bed for an hour just trying to ignore the pain. When I tell people that my sciatica is acting up they look at me like I am crazy and a liar. Why would I make up sciatica? so I can say it in a weird new york accent. Possibly, but its real people and it's real annoying and now painful. If Sarah wasn't so busy moving I would force her to give me a back massage. It doesn't help that I sit in the shittiest chair in my office. Ed if you read this (you don't) please get me a god damn chair that is new and does not suck ass.... Can I sue for sciatica?

Note to self...never ever ever take cayanne and garlic on an empty stomach. I took said combination right before a meeting with two of the attorneys at work. I spent the next twenty minutes praying I would not vomit on either of them. Then I proceeded to salivate profusely by the toilet praying again that I would not vomit up a whole bunch of cayanne pepper. So gross. I effed myself for the entire day. Totally bogus. I think I will take a break from Cayanne for a little while.

If you don't know Cayanne is the hip new thing that all the pros are taking.... no really I would like to think that I am on to something crazy and new that no one knows about. I have been taking cayanne pills for the past two weeks. It makes me crazy and gas filled. I constantly smell and have hot flashes but all for the greater good. I am hoping it will make my heart blow up in a good way. If you did not know when used externally cayanne will keep you roasty toasty. I like to sprinkle it on my feet when they are cold and I am planning on sweating. It will work for hours and is much cheaper than foot warmers. I promise I know what I am doing.... you will see.....

So today I sat around my office feeling pretty crazy. I have been extremely tired all week... why? I don't know... i thought that I have been eating pretty well... i don't know. Now that I look at medical records all day long I get really paranoid about having random diseases or other health issues.
